We’re rehearsing for the acoustic TV gig on Monday morning, in TV4 Nyhetsmorgon. We’re gonna play My Heart is Black and Jennyfer. It’s a really early gig, but we’ve done it 2 times (or maybe 1?) before so we’re getting used to it now. Last time it was full backline and 110% distortion like we use to play, think it was when we released the last album. But now during the summer time they are broadcasting from the roof of the TV house, and all music guests are playing acoustic. It makes it a bit easer to just bring one guitar each than the whole backline to set up since we have to be there at 4:30 for soundcheck.
I think it’s a really cool thing to be able to present the songs in a different way, I love when my favourite rock bands are playing acoustic sometimes so lets hope that you will enjoy our set too!
For this special occasion we have borrowed 2 extremely nice Gibson guitars. Klara’s got a J-200 Vintage Sunburst. I thought it’s a nice guitar but I never fell for it. But when it ended up in Klara’s knee, it was obvious who this guitar was made for – don’t you agree!!???
I’ll play a model called Doves in Flight. It’s my absolute dream acoustic guitar, and I’ve been keeping an eye on it for a long time now. It’s really expensive and therefore, dangerous that I have borrowed it and that this master piece of art now is in my living room. Because it will be VERY difficult for me to return it now when we’re getting to know each other… I guess I’ll just gonna have to find the money somehow so I can keep it. It’s like when someone put a homeless puppy in your arms and says hey, you can put it back on the street if you like to, free for any stranger to grab… or you can just set a side all these ”I can’t afford it and I don’t have the time” thoughts and just go for it ’cause it will be a friend for life...!!! 😀 Have a look at these details, if you’ve seen my tattoos and favorite accessories it’s not hard to figure out why I like this guitar so much -besides the perfect sound… So we’ll see where we end up… To start with, we’re gonna do the morning TV show together and see how the guitar handle the stress and the cameras! 🙂
